We were in the restaurant when the had a little bit of a staff problem with only 1 server and 2 bartenders on the floor (apparently they had some people not show up). All hands were on deck and the service did not lack in the slightest. Madison kept a great attitude and the food was still amazing. My husband and I are so happy to have found this great little restaurant and we are impressed with the food they turn out. The fish & chips and the fried asparagus are amazing. My husband had the pimento burger and he dreams about it still. Highly recommend
I just have to say how very disappointed I was in Green's tavern today at lunch. I hate to post a complaint on Google; however, I was unable to speak with a manager or owner during lunch, when we called after lunch, or when we called at 4:00 this afternoon. Our explanation was that a manager or owner would not arrive until 4:00 pm, and at 4:00 we were told that the manager or owner was in a meeting.
- Today, I talked my co-workers into having lunch at Green's Tavern to celebrate a dear friend that is moving out of state. A few co-workers were reluctant because of previous bad experiences, but they agreed to join us.
Our entire party of 8 had all arrived by 12:03 pm, we promptly ordered from the lunch menu and did not receive our food until 12:44 p.m. We checked on our food at 12:30 and explained to the waitress that we needed to be back at work by 1:00 because we had clients at 1:00 pm. We were unable to understand the long wait considering there was only one other table of guests.
Also, immediately when we received our food we requested our checks and explained again to the waitress our disappointment. It took another 10 minutes to receive our checks.
During our lunch we were not checked on once by the waitress. We had to track her down to ask about the status of our food. I am very disappointed in our overall experience at your restaurant. I just want to let you know how poorly I feel that your restaurant is ran when a manager is not on duty. I enjoyed the food, but unfortunately you have lost 8 new customers.
Great place to go for a drink but definitely eat somewhere else before you go. Just not consistent enough I've had a couple good meals there but I've had more bad ones. Last time I went to my glass of wine was hot, the spinach and artichoke crab dip had nothing in it but whipped cream cheese and no flavor didn't even eat it. The $18 salmon dinner had the smallest piece of salmon I have ever seen, would have been something on a lunchtime salmon salad and to top it off the wasabi mashed potatoes were refrigerator cold.
