Clean, they allowed my 50 lb dog to stay with us, she was welcomed as they had a large grassy area and litter disposal for dogs. The hotel stay came with access to the gardens which were amazing, provided us with a full weekend of fun and memories. AND we received a keepsake ornament from the inn! So wonderful! Lots of restaurant options within the resort.

Had a mix up with Callaway locations. Not the lodge & Spa. This is an old drive up motel. Staff accommodated me by providing a refrigerator (I am diabetic). No microwave. The room was clean EXCEPT for the toilet. It had not been cleaned and was full of black mold or something. I took pictures and shared with staff when I checked out. I was told that it would be reported and was given a discount on the hotel fees. The place was quiet, had a coffee pot, ice bucket and fitness center. Would stay here again but will bring my own bleach to clean the toilet.

The staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. I'm not impressed with the rooms. I noticed several rooms in which the thermostat was broken. It is cold weather, and the vent was blowing cold air, though it was set on 72 degrees. Also, the showers are not well cleaned. It seems that the cleaning ladies lose hair while they are cleaning, and don't realize that they leave it in the tub. But that is pretty common in hotels. The walls are fairly thin between rooms.
But the place is beautiful. There is a rural feel, which is very pleasant. I would still recommend it as a good place to get away for the weekend.

The only thing I didn't like about my stay here was the "hidden" costs. I had a very enjoyable stay otherwise. Just be prepared to pay extra. I always make sure to take double of what my room will be when I travel to cover extra costs. I went during The Fantasy In Lights and I also received a free pass to Callaway Gardens. I got free bottled water daily and enjoyed a nice clean room. There aren't any extras like a microwave, etc, but there is a restaurant in the lobby as well as others in the surroundings. I paid extra to have a patio view which I did not get but I was right in front of the lobby on the inside rooms and because I was traveling alone, this made me feel at ease so I didn't make a big deal of that. The rooms are basic but served my needs comfortably. I booked my stay through booking . com but will book directly next time.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. My entire experience was pleasant & peaceful. Housekeeping did an outstanding job. The room was clean & fresh. There's no microwave nor refrigerator inside the inn, but there is a TV. I didn't mind it at all, the country store down the street served amazing food everyday for great prices & good portions. The scenery & authenticity of nature was absolutely beautiful. This place is a must visit, if you're ever in Georgia.
