Food and service were very good, fried green tomato app was spot on. Chicken fried chicken was well battered and cooked in clean oil and cooked to perfection. Outside seating was a nice change. Will be back.

Amazing home cooking baked chicken, pot roast, fried okra, sweet potato souffle. . .green fried tomatoes yummy!!! Great atmosphere wonderful service!!! Do not miss!!!

If you love southern food then you should definitely come here. The fried green tomatoes are the best and I wish I could keep them forever. The biscuits that u get as a free appetizer are amazing. I would buy them for my whole meal! And the manager is very good and so is the service! I recommend and you should try the chicken salad sandwich, you will not be disappointed :)

Whenever we are traveling through Middle Georgia, we make sure to stop by The Swanson for a meal. This weekend was no different, and as usual The Swanson didn’t disappoint.

Their newest bar tender, Katie, was our server for dinner Saturday night. She was super friendly, at tentative, and provided amazing service.

We had the deviled eggs as our appetizer. I had the chicken fried chicken with Lima beans and sweet potatoes. My wife had the fried chicken with black eyed peas and sweet potatoes. We finished off dinner with the bread pudding and the chocolate decadence. As always, the food was expertly prepared and delicious.

We can’t wait until September when we have a car show which we are attending in Oak Park, GA which will have us traveling back through the area for dinner again!

Loved the veggie platter! The squash casserole, sweet potato casserole, mac and cheese, and okra! The fried greens tomatoes were really good too! The service is great and the house is pristine! Very nice porch for sitting out on and watching the summer rain!
