I went to celebrate a good friend's birthday. The wait staff was friendly, the food was pretty good & the environment was homely !
The food is just okay, but there's no where else to eat for many, many miles in that area, so it's what you'll have to do if you're hungry on Hwy 212 or 36... and don't want to go to Shaun O'Brien's biker bar.
Also, be mindful that it's not very "diversified", so minorities may get a strange look here and there, if you know what I mean. ????
We had the Sunday buffet. Salad bar was great, but the hot food could have stood to be refreshed. Cashier was polite, for the buffet it was a pay first thing. Husband went ahead and added a tip but the wait staff never even said hello. Yes, everything was self serve but it'd have been nice to be acknowledged and asked if everything was good. They did chat up the locals though.
Interesting place, very large restaurant in the middle of nowhere. Large selection of items, plenty of seafood dishes. Most seafood is available fried, broiled or grilled. I went with fried, the rest of our party had broiled. The salad bar, had a decent selection and appeared to be well maintained. Everyone enjoyed their selection and the one non-seafood person had pasta. Based on the articles on the wall, this restaurant has been there for awhile. It could use a little freshening up, it was clean and well maintained. The prices are reasonable for fresh seafood, $12 to $20 range. I would definitely eat here again, not sure I would drive as far out of the way as we did. It was later on a Sunday night and might not have been representative of the typical experience.
