Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Wonderful! Comfort food perfect for this cold rainy night. Hamburger steak mashed potatoes turnip greens with ham pepper sauce and corn bread yum!!!! Great southern meal and Huge Apple Dumpling with vanilla Ice cream to die for food coma awaits lol

First I love cracker barrel restaurants, but this one missed the mark. Shrimp were fried so hard my 10 year old could barely chew them so he just didn't eat them. However, I gave 3 stars because the biscuits were very fluffy and the waitress was great.

I love Cracker Barrel and probably don't go there enough. I particularly enjoy going when it's cold and can sit at the checkers table closest to the fireplace with my lady and keep warm by the fire.
I guess I've been to 40+ locations over the last 40 years and not had a bad meal. Corporate treats management right, management treats their people right and it shows through customer service.
I'm also a fan of consistent southern cooking, especially when traveling, and cannot cook it myself.
Be aware on Saturday and Sunday. You will be there with all the locals. I once phoned in my order from a rocking chair out front due to the long wait. Mgt figured out what I'd done and assigned me a waitress to bring it to me. Who else in the restaurant world does that?

Great always consistently good. However if you are vegetarian as my son is be aware of meat products in your food like pork in your green beans. One time we ordered Mac and cheese expected just that and found a spoon full of meat dropped into it. Food is delicious but you may want to specify your order is for a vegetarian and not to use serving utensils that have been in meat products.
