Best barbecue we've had in a long time! Excellent! The people were so friendly and helpful. You've gotta try them.
It's not often I go to a restaurant and can get BBQ as good as I can make myself but Holy Smokes has a quality meat, real wood smoked BBQ that lives up to its reputation. The new store front is full of southern charm, has a friendly staff and AC. The price is competitive even with lesser quality establishments I have tried in the area.
I have never been unsatisfied with the seasoning or flavor of any meal I have gotten here. The meat is cooked right (not over cooked and dry like most places) and has a wonderful smoke flavor that's not overpowering. The loaded potato salad is my favorite side but the baked beans are really good too. I have visited here many times and will continue to eat here often.
Too expensive. I got the pulled pork, 2 slices of bread& baked beans, drink for almost $10. Not to mention I was asked if I wanted to leave a tip, I asked if I would have a waitress, cashier said yes, me. Gave $2, never saw her again. You have to hold lever down for commode to flush. Food was good. Had to add lots of sauce. I will try it once more.
My wife and I finally gave Holy Smokes a try, and can't believe what we've been missing out on! This is by far the best BBQ I've had East of the Mississippi River. Texas has some outstanding BBQ, but I think Holy Smokes could definitely hold it's own there. This is Dublin's ONLY REAL BBQ establishment, and I'm damn proud they are here! 10 out of 10
