Had some wings for appetizers and they were really good! The portion sizes were pretty big even on the kids menu. I had two empanadas the crab and chicken. I liked the chicken one more. The food did not take too long to be served. I wanted to taste the guava cheesecake but was too full by the end. A lot of food we ended up taking to go because the portions are decent. The prices for the main course menu were kind of high and not too many options to choose from , averaging about $30 a plate. Also a lot of appetizers are not in the menu so it definitely has to be updated. But I feel there food is really good and is you want some good food for a special occasion this is the place to go.

Here’s my review for Latin Dream Restaurant from start to finish. I’m writing this because I had quite a few inboxes about it.

The restaurant is located in Hinesville Ga. Upon entering the restaurant we were told they were not accepting anymore guest. Since we had drove from Savannah and it was for my friends birthday we decided to defy the odds and wait it out in hopes something would change. Not to mention the smell of the food was tempting our taste buds and the ambiance was beautiful. As we were sitting outside we noticed a great deal of people were finishing their meals and our chances of being seated were improving. After about 30 mins of waiting we were able to get on the waiting list. After a total of 1 hour we were happily seated. I had mentioned to my friends that I read the dress Code was in place. I read that slides, booty shorts, sagging jeans, or tank tops were not permitted. I must tell you I saw everything that wasn’t permitted…. PERMITTED!! There we’re definitely a lot of nicely dressed people but there were also some people that threw caution to the wind to say the least or nicely.

Moving along… the restaurant is nicely decorated, the lighting was perfect and the seats were comfortable and cozy. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress with a heavy accent that explained to us what they did and didn’t have available as well as what was available but was not on the menu and it was a-lot. Such as Salmon, crab legs, lamb chops so be sure to ask about what’s not on the menu. I did notice alot of familiar faces from Savannah so that was very welcoming to see.

The prices on the menu were very reasonable. They have a full bar with top shelf liquors to choose from. They also had $5 margaritas!!
The bartender does not mess around be sure to have a designated driver lol.

For an appetizer we shared the Crab & Shrimp dip w/ nachos and let me tell you… it was amazing (pictures below) we practically licked the plate…. We cleaned it!! ( lol) the portions were huge and we found that we could actually share our main course meal next time if we choose too.
I ordered the lamb w/ bourbon sauce and honestly I feel the meat could have been cooked longer but the sauce was delectable..(pictures below) I choose yellow rice, plantains and beans. The sides were delicious as well. I also ordered a side of fried shrimp. They were lightly battered and crispy. Perfectly seasoned just how I love them. One of my friends ordered rice, lobster and crab legs. She was not that amused with her meal but she’s not a complainer. It wasn’t anything wrong with it.. it just wasn’t her cup of tea. (Pictures below)
My other friend had the ribeye steak and it was absolutely delicious. It was charred, with delicious flavoring, grilled onions and topped with grilled shrimp. OMG it was amazing!! (Pictures below)

For 3 people with an appetizer, 4 drinks, 3 main courses and a side of shrimp our bill was only $207 total before tips.

So to summarize…. The portions are big, the prices are reasonable, some of the food we tried was Amazing and some was just good. The ambiance is classy and very nice. I would definitely return. It’s a great place for a girls night out or date night. Get pretty ladies, pull your pants up guys and enjoy a beautiful evening at Latin Dreams!!!

This visit was okay. We had a 45 minute wait (which I hear is the norm for a Friday night). The food was tasty, but my fish was cooked a little hard. My biggest issue was the fact that we were charged an extra SIX DOLLARS ($6.00) on my dish, when it clearly had $24 on the menu. The waitress said that they were changing menu prices; however, I countered with that's the price I saw & it must be sold at that price (false advertising). Well, they adjusted the meal price to $25 (still not the price listed); however, we were out with the kiddos & wanted to treat them to a night out in a pretty place and we didn't want to damper their evening. I will suggest to them to get enough shell/crab crackers. We were told all that they had were being used by other customers & by the time we had helped the kids to get them open....well it just lost the appeal. Yet it was a decent night.

I was in between 2 and 3 stars for this review and decided on a 3 just by a hair.
This location is beautiful inside and give a very upscale ambiance. It is very aesthetically pleasing but the food and service do not match.
I started out at the bar and enjoyed a crabcake appetizer and a margarita. The bartender spent most of my dining time down having a personal conversation with another customer. There was no drink menu and there was no appetizer menu. She happened to mention what they were, and I ordered the crab cakes. They were ok. Prettier than they tasted. There were flies everywhere which made dining uncomfortable. Not once did the bartender offer a new drink, although my glass had been empty for a while. She did not ask me about the crabcake until, I settled my check as I was moving to the dining area when my guest arrived.

Once moved, I brought over a menu for my guest but was never brought a second menu. The server let us know oxtails were the special. We mentioned we originally came for the crab and the server spoke with the chef to see if they could accommodate the request. To our surprise they did but wish they had not. The shrimp were overcooked, and the crab seemed to have been cooked the day before and reheated. They had not been cooked in seasoning, rather the seasoning dumped on top. They were also very small. I would have preferred less legs but larger.

The Oxtails were good, but the rice was hard.

I would revisit food quality. The ambiance and look are there and will attract people alone. The food is what is going to keep people coming back. I don't feel the hour trip was worth it and I don't plan on revisiting
