Southern Fired Foods, LLC

If you are out and about and see the Southern Fired Food Truck, RUN don't walk to this truck. Their pizza is a slice of Italy in the CSRA. I'm not going to knock any specific pizza places in Augusta but this pizza is next level. My husband and I got our first taste in Dearing on Friday. The ingredients for the pie are top-notch, the sauce was bright and lively, the crust had a great chew while still not being dense or heavy. Their passion for their product shines through both in the pizza and in the hospitality for the customer at the window. They are proud of their product and their customer service is a welcome change these days. I loved them and the pizza and I will be happy to stalk them (hopefully, no court orders will be needed)!

Their pizza is probably some of the best I’ve ever had. I stumbled across them while I was on a date when we stumbled on an event happening at Gateway Park, and I decided to give them a shot. I used to live in Germany when I was younger and there was a restaurant owner that imported Italian cheese, and I have been craving it ever since… THIS PLACE CURED MY CRAVING!! I had gotten 2 slices, and decided that once my date left, I was going to get a whole pizza to share with my mom once I got home. I walked up to the counter and they asked if there was something wrong with my order, and I explained to them I had been searching for that cheese since I was like 8 years old, and the owner and I had a fairly lengthy conversation about Europe and the story behind his business. He decided to give me the whole pizza for the “non-food-truck price” which is approximately 1/3rd of the price I would’ve gotten it.

Basically, the owners are extremely kind people who decided to chase their passion and make probably THE most delicious pizza in the entire Augusta area!!!
