Happy China has been in Madison at least since 1993 when I first moved here oh, and they have outlived every other Chinese takeout or eat in that has opened here in town. I don't think the food is awesome but it's pretty good. the owners I suppose is who they are they've been there as long as the place has, are very low-key shall I say? Many times I have ordered something and immediately within a second realize I gave them the wrong thing and changed it, or thought I had changed it and got what I said in the first place. They don't seem very friendly but I don't think that's the case I think they just have their own culture and pretty much stick to their own not being very interested in getting better at the language or pretty much anything else about the people here in town. However they do give you what you go in there for which is Chinese food and since they are the only game in town if you want something sort of Chinese that's where you're going to go.

Love Happy China forever and always. The people are kind, the food is good, and the building is newly renovated. We've been going here since I was a kid and it's only gotten better with age.
