Always packed at lunchtime and for good reason, the food is just how your grandma cooked it. Southern cooking at it's best. Everyone treats you as family there too!

Great place to stop if you find yourself in Columbus and have a craving for Southern comfort food. This is a bare bones, small town cafeteria,so don't expect upscale. Food is served on paper plates and the sweet tea is strictly self serve.If you're still reading, let me tell you about the food. Good crispy fried chicken, tasty fried okra, and delicious Lima beans. My friend had the hamburger steak and rice and wished he had ordered differently

If you want a great meat and three place, this is it. They have been doing it right for many, many years. I have never had anything I did not enjoy. This is like a trip to granny’s house you can have every day. The people are always happy and friendly. It does get busy so go early or late or be prepared to wait a little bit to get through the line. It’s definitely worth a wait.

Good home-cooked meals. We are from out of town and ate lunch on a Friday. Served cafeteria-style. We both had the fried chicken with sides. There wasn't anything exceptional but everything was good and well worth the price. It has enough seating so that shouldn't be a problem. I know for sure there were three food-delivery people that picked up carry-out along with about half the people that came through the line took carry-out while we were there. That makes me think the place is popular with locals and the food quality and favor is dependable. Just as I said in the first line... good home-cooked meals.
