Mama's Boy at The Falls of Oconee

We visited here for the first time. Had to wait since they were very busy. We had read reviews in the past that were very good. The only complaint I have is there is not a waiting room area or chairs. The food and service was great. We had breakfast entrees for lunch. Would recommend. Just be aware if they are busy you may be crowded around front door.

Wonderful service and setting, comfortable fun and nostalgic food (if you grew up with a good southern momma) that always seems to exceed expectation.
Every visit has been a memorable experience.

Fast service , delicious food and great portions for the price. The only thing is the server was impersonal. I think that goes with the atmosphere though. She did her job adequately it was just that though. Doing her job. Other than that the place was perfect.

Liked the location of this Mama's Boy (nice view of "the falls") and the facility was clean and inviting. I can't compare it to the other Athens location because we haven't been there yet (even though we live closer to that one). Being an open dining room with a high ceiling, it was a little noisy but not overly bothersome. Liked the uncluttered and concise menu. We both ordered the pimento burger (w/lettuce, tomato, & onion) served with fresh cut fries & a dill pickle spear. The burger was flavorful and juicy but we both agreed the flavor of the pimento cheese didn't come through. Service was very good and we will definitely return to try other menu items.

We were in town for Big Hearts Gala. Everyone we talked to said we needed to have breakfast here and wow were they right. The food was amazing! Cinnamon roll... 5* Service 5*. Just a great place to have a fresh tasty meal in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it and we will eat there again next time we are in town!
