We enjoyed this sandwich shop! The owners and staff felt like neighbors; so friendly and welcoming. Their $5 ham and cheese croissant special was impossible to resist, and very tasty. They were kind to lower their umbrella so I could take this photo.
After taking a walk down main street to see all the Christmas decorations, I noticed a brand new sandwich shop right next to the famous Dallas theatre. Wild Boar is less than a month old, but is a fantastic sandwich shop that is sure to be a hit in this community! Food options were plenty and what I ordered was delicious (the French Dip? Yum!). Everyone inside was extremely friendly and happy to meet me, which is just what you get with a local place. It's slightly more expensive than you might spend at a chain restaurant, but with a menu, prices, and food comparable to, say, McAllister's, but as a local business with friendly people and far cozier environment, Wild Boar is my choice of sandwich shop now. Fantastic!
I've been wanting a good sandwich place in this area for years and here it is! The staff was really nice and the food was great. I do wish they had fountain drinks and the option to grill/toast the bread. I ordered a Ruben that was very good, but would have been even better toasted. Definitely worth checking them out and supporting a local business! I will definitely be back.
Great food great place. Sandwiches took a little while to make but the shop was also very busy. It was worth the wait! Food was delicious. We needed a place like this in downtown Dallas.
Stopped in today for lunch during their soft opening so their menu was limited. I ordered the Italiano and it was delicious! They were very generous with the meats and their homemade "not so spicy mayo" was very good. You can make it a combo and add chips and a drink. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to try back when their full menu is available.
