Stopped here after a day hiking in Ellijay. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. Lots of sauces to choose from. Prices were a bit high, but you definitely get your money's worth.
Excellent BBQ across the board. Seven separate BBQ sauce at each table. Clean, new facilities with a simple wood everywhere ambiance. Large tables inside and very nice outdoor patio area uncovered and also a covered area with fans. Pleasant staff, fair prices and tasty well prepared sides. Great parking, easy to find location. I found nothing that is not to like about this fine establishment. It's simply a tour de force on how to run a modern BBQ restaurant. When you drive by you'll see it's always fairly populated with happy customers. Drop right in, they seem to have lots of tables and capacity to keep the good food rolling. I highly recommend this place.
Coming from Dallas, TX; this is the BEST barbecue I have had in Georgia! The staff was friendly and personable, and the food was to die for. The meat just melted in your mouth and all the sides were very good as well. Now, just open a location in metro Atlanta... I need my fix! Definitely will be making the drive to come soon again!
Neat little BBQ on the side of the highway. Very nice covered outdoor seating area. The food is delicious. My favorite is the redneck lasagna, a mac and cheese bowl with stew poured over it. Staff was polite and got our order to us quickly.
Some of the best barbecue I've ever had that wasn't homemade. It's right on a route I take often, and I'll be sure to bring some home whenever I can from here on. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, and reasonable prices, but the star of the night was the food.
The brisket was tender to perfection, and the sides were no slouch. Everything, from Lima beans to Texas toast to Brunswick stew, was absolutely stellar. My favourite sauce: the Talking Rock Tangy and the Original, in equal measure. Remember to save room for a fried apple pie!
