Chop House At Laprades

Great location and view. Food was decent steakhouse food. We had no complaints on the meal at all. The negative side occurs with the restaurant operations. They apparantly only serve one party per table per night out on the patio. The table layout could allow for more tables and there is no place in the bar to wait for your table since that is also horribly laid out. If you make a reservation for 7:30, that table is reserved for you, and no one else, the whole night, even if a party arrives at 6:30. And the restaurant is not even busy or close to capacity...on a Saturday night! The staff was very pleasant but not very experienced for a medium priced steakhouse. Our steaks were served before we were halfway through our salad and then we were asked if we wanted dessert and served the check before we were halfway through the steak dinner. This place could be run a lot more efficiently and serve twice as many people...if they decide to come! More people were at the pizza joint next door. I think management, not staff, is solely to blame here. We may or may not return. It's kind of "mehh" reaction to the overall experience.

Good food, great views, hard to get a table but all around nice place. Outside table is much better experience, but you need to call ahead. None of the food wowed me, but solid burger and fries. Mozzarella lollypop appetizer is good also. Good drinks, favorite on the lake. They offer a lot of fish as well. Good for the family, especially if you are casual and enjoying a day on Lake Burton.

Best food ever!!! Went tonight for mine and the wife's anniversary and was blown away. Great service and beautiful view of the lake. FYI make reservations!! Highly recommend
