McDonald's

The food is good for a McDonald’s. My daughter loves getting a happy meal but if she’s not eating her food then we know something isn’t right. My husband and I will usually get fries and a coke and the fries are almost never salted. The drive thru is awful because they have two windows to place an order but they only use one. Probably because the are not side by side but one in front of the other. It wasn’t thought out very well. The employees are always a joy however. They are kind and greet you with a smile. We seldom run into a person with a frown at this location. All in all I gave it a three star review because it’s not a quick experience when we go. The lines are usually long and if there is a line then people at the gas station tend to think you’re in the way and give you attitude. Sorry, we just wanted food.

Within my family, on the road today ( 5 -11-19 ) traveling to the sweet onion capital of the universe, Vidalia Georgia. Also home to the very noteworthy Paul Anderson Youth Home, helping with troubled youth for decades. Stopped in to pick up a quick lunch and hit the road again to make a meeting. As we drove, I discovered, much to my disappointment, the 6 strip chicken strip entree was short 2 strips. Didn't have time.to turn around and request a correction. I was not happy about that. I was happy that my daughter spontaneously shared some of her chicken nuggets with me without any request on my part. Now I know that in the grand scheme of things this is not that big a deal. It's not brain cancer, nor some nefarious plot. The cook didn't come out tell me he was working on my meal and then disappeared never to be seen again. I just didn't think that my expectations were unreasonable in that when I ordered and paid for a 6 piece chicken strip that someone would be able to count all the way up to six, and not stop at the 4 I received. That being said, anyone can have a bad day, and so I would be willing to give them another chance to raise my rating. The chicken I did receive was actually quite good, very hot and thus likely freshly made. Definitely get a few extra napkins. In case you also get shorted on your order, you can sop up any grease with the napkins and gnaw on them to quell your hunger pangs. Lots of cellulosic fiber there to fill you up.

Food was fresh and good. That is why we went there... Food. Was a bit dirty in lobby. Bathrooms shared with store are atrocious. Workers were polite, efficient except on return to counter for condiments.. They do not even see you, like they are shy. But one man was exceptional he saw and served all he could find! When his eyes met one in need his whole face lit up with a friendly smile. He was a "5-star" stand alone.
