The Whistle Stop Cafe of Augusta

Best fried chicken in Augusta by far. Lovely place to grab breakfast with the family. Service can be slow, but thats due to the freshness of the food and the quaintness of the restaurant - it's not a quantity-driven establishment.

Amazing! O M G good! Had the Country Fried Steak breakfast.... E v e r y bite was just incredible. The potatoes were crisp and tasty. The gravy -- it was a flavor party in my mouth! The steak was tender and had been well seasoned. I can't find enough descriptors to coerce you into trying this place - but seriously make your way!

While visiting Augusta, we decided to go down to the Riverwalk area for breakfast. Decided to try The Whistle Stop Cafe. Definitely impressed by the "old Diner" atmosphere. Food was delicious, and the wait staff was courteous and friendly. Would definitely like to come back if ever in the area. I highly recommend. Not at all into the "trendy" chain restaurant thing. To me, this is like a breath of fresh air, and a blast from the past!

We always enjoy coming here to eat. Staff is extremely friendly and the cooks are awesome! Food is always good. My kids love watching the trains go by 8f we get lucky.
