Reminiscent Restaurant

On yesterday the service started off lack luster. After waiting over 5 minutes to be greeted I almost turned to walk out. Finally someone walked over to seat me. Though it seems pricey, the food was everything that I hoped it would be. I ordered a veggie plate of Candied Yams, Turnips and Fried Okra. Today I returned with my sister to enjoy the live entertainment. When we first got there things appeared a little hectic at times. Nevertheless, I included the Fried Chicken with my meal today and it was awesome. It was well seasoned and crispy. For a moment it took me back to my childhood days when my mother would fry chicken. Now I understand why they call it "Reminiscent Restaurant" and I'm so pleased that Conyers now has a great Soul Food restaurant. ????????

There was a wait but the food was well worth it. As a new business owner myself I understand it takes a little while for a business to run smoothly. I would suggest if you have customers waiting to be seated, acknowledge them early and often instead of making them feel like they are being ignored and then turning on the charm when you can seat them. Same thing when waiting to be served. Customers are more understanding when you are engaging. I will definitely be back and will be bringing others with me. Looking forward to getting there in time to hear the live music!

I went with a group of friends on a Sunday evening. 1st time I have had good soul food in a restaurant. I have had good Soul Food at someone's home, but not at a restaurant.

This was some good home cooked food. Food that was good for your soul.
Collard Greens, Mac and Cheese, Candied Yams, Turkey Wings with dressing, was excellent. The food is literally cooked to order. There is a little wait for the food, but it is well worth it. The food taste fresh, and not sitting under a warming lamp. I cant wait until I return.

Delicious! They just opened and I'm not sure if it's a soft opening or not but there was no large sign so it was hard to find, and food didn't come out fast (not too bad of a wait though) but it was worth it. Small menu so they do what they do well. Friendly staff and great home cooking.

Food was delicious. Portion was just right. Didn't give 5 stars because I waited 18 minutes before someone took my order. I had the whiting fish/macaroni & cheese/candy yams. Excellent food and I will be returning.
