Small town experience with some of the best food you will find around here. Everyone greets you like family and if you go back more than once they usually remember your name. Stop by and have a bite and enjoy the water view. Don't forget you can get there by boat.

Friends took us to Pop's Dockside Grill Friday night. It was our first time. We enjoyed dining there. It Was a little hot in there. But drinks were cold and food was good. We will definitely try it out again.

    Summary: slightly pricier than expected
    Entrees amazing
    Sides terrible

Detailed review: seafood is always expensive, so I was prepared for that. I did think it was a little pricier than it should be based on the portions and quality. All the meats (we tried fried gator tail, catfish, shrimp, and oysters) were delicious and fresh and hot. If I had just gotten those, this would be a 4-star review. The other star was lost based on the sides. The fries were decent, but the cheese grits and onion rings were pretty terrible. The grits were one giant piece, cold, and not that great tasting. The onion rings were probably good when they were first made, but they were ice cold.

My husband, daughter and I came across this place while we were out driving around looking for boat landings on the Georgia side. We decided to go in and try it out. I have to say the atmosphere was nice and the staff very friendly. The food??? Oh my gosh was it ever delicious. Not what you would expect from a little dockside grill. After that, we found how to get there from the river. Now when we go fishing, we ease over that way for lunch. You can dock your boat there and go eat. We really enjoy it. If you haven’t been there, you should go try it out. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
