Caleb Brown has an absolute winner on his hands with Jonah’s. The food is top shelf, but not fussy...low country style in a cute, homey place in downtown Thomasville. The service is great too! Start with the classic Shrimp and Grits (the Cajun style is awesome too) and work your way around me the menu...there’s not a bad dish on the menu! Definitely worth a visit.

The shrimp, grouper, brussel sprouts and collards were excellent so was the catfish and slaw. They were very busy, but the wait was short to get seated, the service was very good and the food was out quickly and piping hot. All in all a very nice lunch date for the four of us. On the down side, by the time we were seated they were out of the Scottish Salmon, so maybe next time!

I love Jonah's and request it when we plan a family excursion. It's a 2-hour drive for us. We made the trip yesterday and waited over 2 hours for a seating of 8. I understand that it was Mother's Day weekend and we planned to wait a bit for seating. However, we noticed that they were seating parties of 2, 4, and 6 coming in after us. When we inquired for the 3rd time (and famished at that point), the hostess told us they were waiting on another party of 8 to eat and finish up before calling us. If you know the restaurant business, you know that's not how it's done. Please train your hostesses better. As for the food and wait service, it was on point, as usual!

Good food! Good prices! Long lines/ wait. I had the cyclone shrimp, collard greens were good, my friend had the shrimp & grits. Both were delicious.

We drove over an hour to eat here because the reviews were excellent and we wanted something different.
Pros: Good portion size, flavorful food, nice atmosphere (if not next to window), attentive staff.
Cons: 7-8 flies flying at the window next to our table, wait time said 40-50 minutes but we were skipped over and it took close to 1.5 hours which was when we finally inquired as to how much longer.
Overall, the food was amazing but it was hard to enjoy while fighting flies.
