Visiting Hiawassee for the weekend, decided to try this place for dinner. Let me say, it was definitely a good choice. Friendly staff, great decor and atmosphere, and fabulous food. The fried brussel sprouts are a delicious appetizer, probably the best sprouts I've had in a restaurant. The catfish was wonderful, it was fresh, tender and flaky, and perfectly cooked. Jessie gave us excellent service, he was friendly and personable, got our food to us quickly, and never left us looking around wondering where our server was if we needed anything. All in all a first-class dining experience and we could see ourselves making this our favorite spot if we lived here. I highly recommend this place and we will most definitely eat here on any future visits to Hiawassee. Thanks for the best dinner in town hands down! Chuck & Becca

Per usual, Chef Doug and Corey impress once again! ?? Me and my wife each had an appetizer, and an entree.... In and out under an hour! Service was great, food was amazing, and decor is perfect. Thank you again for a special and delicious evening out gentleman!

This place is great. First restaurant I have been in a long time where they are not scared to season the food. If you like food that has a Cajun flare you will love this place. Great selection of drinks. Great food and great service ,how could you ask for anything more? The banana pudding is really good for a restaurant. A little soggy but way better than I have had anywhere else. The picture shows how pleased I am.

We met Chef Doug and Cory a short while after they opened Restaurant Lorene across from Young Harris College. After our first time eating there, we were blown away at Chef Doug's ability to make two self-proclaimed chefs stunned with what we were experiencing and along with Benoit's cocktails, we felt like it was the first time we had truly been satisfied. Since then, they've moved on and opened the Hiawassee Seafood Bar & Grill and we were so excited to get up there and experience the new place. The space is much larger and more open, the decor and theme is exactly what they were going for, and the food, drinks, and service is the best you'll find anywhere. Cory and Doug's credentials prove once again why they're the best at what they do. Make a reservation for dinner, where the menu really shines, and you'll never want to leave. We enjoy sitting and watching new guests to see their reactions when they take that first bite or sip. Their eyes light up and an involuntary smile, along with a look of confusion takes over, like, what are these flavors? My mouth has never experienced anything like this before. Thankfully over the years we've been able to become good friends with Doug and Cory and I can tell you, the passion for their crafts do not stop once the grills are cooled and the doors are locked. It's their life, it's what they do, and they spend every moment perfecting it so that total strangers get a chance to experience it.
