Hog Heaven

I come to this area once a year and found this place by accident, as it isn't in the area where I commute to the job I work here during this time. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was that I tried, which was the Pork Plate with a side of Brunswick Stew and Baked Beans. Our waitress, Tina, was very friendly and gave us great service while we ate. If you get a chance, stop by and give them a try.

Good food, out of the way (on the way to ATL) but worth the trip. Food was good. Portions were ok. Waitress was friendly. Really good tea.

The service was good and everyone was really friendly. I liked it there but I didn't think the food was that good. I had the pork but it didn't really have any smoked flavor. We also ordered the fried pickles which were so over battered and greasy, they were difficult to eat. However, it was a very generous portion. Overall, I'll probably try somewhere different the next time I am in town.

The restaurant is under new ownership and my barbecue has never been better. I also had a wonderful server name Robin. Tonight was the new Texas Tuesday where you can get tacos and quesadillas as well as $2 Texas beers. A rustic family atmosphere with free peanuts.

Unlimited peanuts while you wait. They have a good variety of food on their menu including a kids menu. Their plates are good portion sizes. Their BBQ pork is tender and they offer a few different sauces that you add yourself at the table. Service can sometimes be slow, but they are generally courteous and friendly.
