Fatz Cafe

Been living in this town for 9 months, noone ever talks about this place so I never tried it. I took my family there on a whim to try it and was pleasantly shocked at the great level of service and how delicious the food was! I'll be going back, Martin was my server and was fantastic.

We had Blue Ridge chicken & loaded potato soup & both were supurb! And the service was great, too. And about$15 for the two of us. What's not to love about this place? YUM!

Today was my very first visit to a Fatz. I was greeted at the front door by a very nice young man. He said welcome back to Fatz, I replied, this is my first. Ladies standing inside the front door also greeted me and said welcome. I repeated this was my first time here, impress me. Oh they so did. I ordered the Calabash Chicken tenders and fries with the Vidalia onion coleslaw. I was impressed. I highly recommend this establishment. And our waitress was absolutely phenomenal. (Sorry didn’t get her Name). Thanks again for a delicious meal. Next time I am in the area I will be visiting you again.

Not sure what has happen to this place! Food and service was once pretty outstanding. Today I ordered a salmon and shrimp over grits selection from the menu. Served with Brussels after it arrived 40 minutes late, the Brussels were so burnt they sounded like crisp fall leaves when you step on them. No sauce on my salmon and shrimp appeared to have been thrown on. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen who knows! I sent my food back with the server... patiently waiting for a manger to make their way to my table as any normal restaurant with good hospitality would. Nope! It wasn’t until I asked for my remaining balance on my check to be explained to me did a manager FINALLY come over. Unbelievable! What has happened new staff? Old attitudes? I don’t know. But I will not go back!
