Awesome atmosphere, staff and food! Kevin S. was our server and recommended our food which was flawless. It was Taco Tuesday (half off Taco's) and after we ate he asked us to review the reciept to confirm it was correct. We glanced and said "yes". After getting the final receipt we noticed we were charged $10 for the Taco's instead of $5. I asked him if this was correct and he felt terrible profusely apologizing and immediately grabbed $5 out of his pocket to give to us. We laughed and said we would not accept the $5 as we had such an amazing experience there. He said "at least take it out of my tip" we laughed again and tipped 20% + . Great GREAT guy very knowledgeable and friendly. It was an honest mistake and the experience was a memorable one. Place was busy (which shows you how good it is). They had $2 beers to boot! HIGHLY recommend this fine establishment AND ask for Kevin S! Oh, the collard greens are to die for as well! Thanks Kevin for making our vacation dinner one of the best ever!

The atmosphere is cool but for the price of all the food they could seriously afford nicer seating outside. The cheap plastic chairs are not very comfortable after enjoying a full dinner. The food is amazing however. They had a slow day the night we went but the staff was very friendly and updated us on any hold ups. The servers did a great job working as a team checking on all the tables. You might have to wait a little while on busy days but the food is worth it. The smoked Gouda mac n cheese is out of this world!

I was looking forward to going to Bigg Daddys Restaurant. I specifically drove from Atlanta to Helen because your restaurant plays the best rock n roll music while the customers eat. That was the #1 reason why I came to Helen, Georgia. The food was really good, but the service was not. We sat at the bar and the bartender (Jeff) was very short with his responses. He basically walked away from us as he was responding to our questions. However, we notice that he was having conversations with other customers explaining the menus etc. He did not initiate any contact with us nor did he check on us once our food was served. I had a fist full of cash ready to drink. However, he did not ask us if we needed anything else or for another drink. But he asked the other customers several times. The second bartender (James) did see us and was pretty friendly. I will still give you guys 5 stars because the food was great, the music was great, and the 1 drink he served to me was good. I still couldn't figure out why we were treated that way. I hope it wasn't a racist thing. I really don't want to put his job in jeopardy. But, he should revisit his manual on proper protocol on how to treat customers at a restaurant. If visiting again, I would try again at a table.

5 stars all the way!! 5 stars in everything you expect and want from a restaurant. You will not go wrong if you go. You will be very happy and glad you did. If you never take a review seriously start now. Great place.

Awesome newer restaurant in Helen. The food is fantastic with generous portions. Love sitting at the bar - the bartenders pay attention and are on it! ! Plan on waiting if you have a party of more than 2 and can’t utilize the bar - they are packed most weekends inside and out. Says a lot though when it’s where the locals frequent!
