The garlic salmon nigiri was amazing as was the fried green bean roll. The service was great the food came out quick and it was quite inexpensive. 100% will be back! Make sure to ask for a PUNCH CARD!!!! They don't always offer them but if you frequent the restaurant it's worth it.

Brought my son and nephew and had a wonderful time! From ordering to delivery, it was entertaining and decent sushi! We ate 22+ plates and loved 21 of them. We ordered the edamame and it came frozen/cold wrapped in saran wrap. I asked to warm it up and salt it which really helped but they ended up charging me for an extra plate! Luckily I told them and they eventually took it out. Tons of fun for the kids and decent sushi for the family.

Let's rate this review from start to finish...

The initial walk in was really good, greeted and sat almost immediately. I guess Tuesday isn't quite a busy night, as there were many open tables, booths and bar type seatings.

That's where things went a little slow on service, the girl who sat us asked what we wanted to drink. As we were giving our drink orders, she had to abruptly leave, when she came back she couldn't remember even one drink from our order, so we had to start all over. I have no idea where she had to run off to, but at least she came back..

After that ordering is always a bit humbug at this location because the iPads that they use to be able to take orders is attached to the table.

When sitting on the outside part of the table, it is very inconvenient to have to reach over to look at the menu, they don't even have the regular laminated paper menus to look at.

Aside from that, ordering stuff is usually pretty easy, select what you want and press the order button... Another thing that bothers me, is that you don't know what is in the sushi rolls, you just have to look at the picture and try to figure it out, and it's not like you can bring the iPad close to your face to examine the picture, you kind of just have to know...

Another thing I noticed about genki is that a lot of their roll sushi is the same, but they just have different toppings, which I find a little bit strange, but I never really noticed before..

Also, after we ordered a few things, which you can only order 4 things at a time, but continuously if you wish, we were brought something we didn't order... We had to double check what we did order just in case someone accidently added it on.. but we didn't, and had to call the server back. Which there is a convenient button on the iPad.

The girl promptly came back and took back the wrong order... But makes you wonder if they're paying attention...

The sushi was good, rolls, sashimi, sukiyaki udon, french fries, poke bowl, and and nigiri, so overall food was good.

But service was lacking a bit, we made a drink order through the iPad and it never came... We waited 10 mins...after we tried the service button... We tried it three times before someone came to check up on us. What was annoying about that situation, was that there were at least 5 to 6 girls standing by the drink station....

Overall food was good, but service brought the stars down...

Good sushi in a very clean and modern environment. The food has nice small portions so it’s easy to try lots of different items. The trains that deliver the sushi are a lot of fun and the touchscreen ordering system makes the whole process very easy. When it gets busy the wait can get a little long and the food may be slow.

The location is great. Nice new building in the Kapolei Commons area. Very spacious restaurant eith lots of seating. We sat at a counter where the orders are placed on a personal screen right in front of you. After the orders are placed, 4 at a time I believe, they come on a track that looks like a race car. The prices depend on what item you order and they are designated by plate color. The staff were friendly and attentive. I definitely would recommend if you're a sushi lover, just expect to pay the price for it... not cheap by any means!
