Zippy's Wahiawa

Kind of disappointed. Was looking forward to eating here for the first time, but wasn't that great. It was edible and we were able to eat it all but there wasn't really any flavor. And my father in law got the fried chicken and it was raw. They fixed it and made a new plate but kind of turned us off. Otherwise staff was nice and the restaurant was clean.

Zippy's is our go-to place to eat when we want a sit down breakfast with a lot of different choices or when we want to eat out without limiting our choices to burgers, pizza, or a particular cuisine. Zippy's is not a high end place to eat and is more of a chill out and enjoy local favorites without having to dress up or strain your wallet too much. The prices are sort of middle bracket but can run higher than some specialty restaurants depending on what you order. The food is not gourmet by any means. I'd describe their offerings as more like comfort food, especially for those of us who grew up in Hawaii and are very familiar with Zippy's chili, saimin, Zip Packs, etc.

What I like about Zippy's is some of the locations have long-time staff still working for them. Cory, at the Wahiawa location has probably been there longer than anyone else working there. You will find her down to earth and friendly with a wicked sense of humor at times. We like her a lot and were lucky enough to have her table today.

Wow this place was awesome!! The waiter and waitress were wonderful. I ordered the Loco Moco and it was delicious.

This Zippy has really changed. Not as good as it used to be. By the time we get our food it looks like it's been sitting aside for awhile. It's not hot. Service is slow and today I swear they burned my hamburger patty. I could taste it and see it. Sad.
