I love this place, the workers are very funny and it's family operated. It's my special place to eat.

Good food but small portions

Giving it a 4 because the loco moco was good. Gravy was probably from a packet but who am I to judge? Waited for my food order for about 5-8 mins. The place wasn't packed when I went there but there were about 5-6 people who came in later and they didn't wait long for their food. No public bathroom available (Burger King available across). Plenty of parking. Cash, credit/debit accepted. Fountain drink, alot of sauces to choose from, baggies available at the counter, alot of seatings and no seatings outside, it's nice and clean in the restaurant, two tv's in there and music that goes between island jam and hip hop. You can also see the chef cooking your food if you're facing the counter (side mirror).

THIS RESTAURANT HAS CLOSED DOWN MAY 2017.There aren't many places to get a good steak in Wai'anae, so we do go to Blazin Steaks at the Wai'anae Mall several times a year. We always do take-out; we never eat there. There's no ambience, it's noisy and the TV runs sports channels all day. The service is ok and they are pretty fast. Their steak is good and tender. We always get the Steak & Garlic Shrimp plate; it's $10.50 incl rice and a green salad. That's a fair price but not a terribly good deal; there are only 5 med size shrimps on the plate. Lots of white rice and iceberg lettuce, but they are generous with the slices of steak. If you buy the side order of mushrooms, ask them to put it in a separate container. If you let them put it on the plate, you'll have to search for the mushrooms. They're $1 extra and it's probably only 2 sliced mushrooms, so not worth it. I've tried the cream puff dessert for $2.50 and it's good. Don't bother getting the "Large" version of the Steak & Shrimp; we've bought that for $14.95 and it's not much more than the regular size plate. This is a popular place with locals and we'll continue to buy there whenever we want a steak plate.
