Best Chinese food in all of Idaho!! They have a great menu, but did you know they have a “secret” menu with more authentic dishes. Definitely as good as dishes I’ve had throughout China. And our server Sarah was just the sweetest. Very warm, friendly and attentive. Overall great experience every single time.
5 star!
Pros- Easy parking, varied menu, great service, and delicious large portions.
I ordered the Mapo Tofu. They ask protein style, heat level, and rice style. Perfect! Beautiful presentation & plate ware. Hot tea was an experience. Attentive service, but not intrusive.
.
Cons- Medium heat is usually fine, but this was HOT, so order accordingly. Too many jalapeños, which didn't seem culturally appropriate? I don't know, sichuan peppers would have matched better, I think.
Well, we have a very limited selection of Chinese Restaurants here in Idaho. Red Pavilion in Meridian is my favorite so far! I really like the Singapore - style Noodles 🍜! I was also very pleased that Red Pavilion had actual Coca Cola 🥤 Coke Zero!
My friend got some Soup 🍲 at Red Pavilion once. He didn't feel that it was as authentic as the Chinese food he had in The San Jose California area. So keep that in mind if you are visiting from The West Coast or another country.
I really like this restaurant and plan on returning as long as I live in Idaho! It's just a normal Asian restaurant in a Strip Mall Plaza with nice clean menus. There's an Ice Cream 🍨 Shop nextdoor for me to try when I have more money and time!

This place has been my go-to for the best Chinese food in the area. They have amazing general's chicken, very flavorful and yummy. The dinner special on the back of the menu is really reasonable as well--soup, appetizer, and entree for two people for maybe $30? It was super cheap, honestly, and way more affordable than most places. Service was decent, it's crowded but not bad. They bring out fried chips and sweet & sour sauce before the meal, if you're feeling extra starving.
