We were glad the picnic table had an umbrella because it was a hot day, but the bacon cheeseburger was tasty, moist, lots of cheese and the tots were crispy!! Yum!!! “Awesome place to hang out. Clean. Family friendly atmosphere. Sodas for the kids while the adults can have beer and wine. They have food and are expanding their menu as they grow. They periodically have live bands. They also have outdoor seating that is classy and winter friendly. Outdoor seating overlooks the river. It is fully enclosed with heaters. I highly suggest you give this place a visit!”

“We got the Valentines special, three loaded tacos in both Carne Asada and chicken, and they were the best tacos we’ve had in Saint Maries! They even sent the salsa in these cute little heart containers. They also give you a beeper so when your order is ready, you can come get it so you don’t have to sit outside in the cold Waiting or wondering if your order is ready. Great addition to the SM area!! “A really cute place! Local crafts, farmers market style tables of homemade items such as jams, jellies, kitchen items, canned asparagus, candles etc..in the front lobby. The restaurant itself is absolutely adorable! It reminded me of a 1950's style diner. It is definitely a wonderful preservation of a historic building and provides a perfect atmosphere for dining. My friends and I only had coffee this time, they are both locals and often come here for lunch. Since we were looking for an eatery which provided shredded homemade hash browns, we decided to find another breakfast place for those. This place only offers pre-made hash brown patties. I'm looking forward to coming back for lunch the next time I visit St. Marie's. My friends told me their lunches are amazing. Our server was very sweet and attentive, our coffee was strong and very good!”

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, either pick up your order or eat in the bar. They are in the back of a bar, literally in their back parking lot. So if the bar is busy, you may not get a seat”

“1.1.24: I recently moved to Idaho and came to this nearby town to check-out this pizza spot. The inside of the restaurant was fun and had lots of art on the walls. It's pretty cool they support local artists. We ordered cheesy bread and a lumberjack pizza. The cheesy bread arrived piping hot, super cheesy, and really tasty. The marinara dipping sauce was so good and paired better than the ranch. However, the ranch was delicious and didn't have that overly thick mayo taste. The fresh lumberjack pizza arrived shortly after and was visually beautiful packed with lots of meat and toppings. The cook on the crust was the best! It had a good crispy bottom crust but at the same time it was soft. Service was awesome and the pizza makers working tonight did a great job. I will definitely be making this pizza spot my go-to.”

“A friend and I were in the St Marie’s, ID and we were dying for a burger and fries. We stumbled upon a billboard with “Timber Lodge Cafe” with pics of great looking burgers. We took the next turn and there it was, like a beacon of hope and an answer to our prayers! We walked in and loved the decor immediately. Plenty of “kitch” and country style with funny signage. We loved it. The food: we both ordered the Timber Lodge burger with fries and I had two pancakes along with it. We had just spent 6 days eating dehydrated meals and were famished. The server was attentive to our every need and she was as pleasant as could be. When the food arrived we were taken aback as to the quantity on our plates and at first bite we were satisfied beyond compare. The fries were the perfect level of crunchy and seasoned and the burger; Heaven at first bite! The pancakes were also amazing and hit the spot. If you’re in the area, you definitely owe it to yourself to try out the Timber Lodge Cafe.”
