I finished a long, hot mountain bike ride in the Pine Street Woods and rolled down the hill into Sandpoint looking for a cold beer and lunch. Matchwood was right on the way and was the perfect stop. They have a huge outside seating area where I could keep my bike at the table. The beers were delicious and so we're the tacos! I'll be back.
Amazing food, atmosphere and beer. We had the ceviche shrimp tacos and the pulled pork totchos. They were both fresh and flavorful…so delicious! The Spruce Tip Pale Ale was sweet and hoppy.
Went here with my family after spending the day at the lake and it was very very good!! Steak Tacos & Berliner Weiss is an amazing combo. We enjoyed fantastic service at the bar. The sprawling patio was really great too for our kiddos.
Had their Caesar salad and cheeseburger with fries. My husband and I split the main course and each had a salad, plenty of food for two people. The atmosphere was friendly and clean, you must go up to the bar and order your food, but they bring it to your table. We sat inside as it was pretty hot outside, it was a great overall experience. We will definitely come back and try some of their other dishes.
The cheeseburger had great flavor, and was just the right size. I could not put my finger on what was in the fry sauce, it was definitely different but very tasty. And very unique fries.
And a note the don't have lemon for those of us who like it with our water, you'll have to ask them why, lol , 🤣 it's pretty funny.
Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in Sandpoint. Two summers ago we had the pleasure of staying at an air b n b across the street from Matchwood. What a great location. The outdoor atmosphere is so much fun with plenty of tables, live music and dog friendly. The food was amazing. Prepared quite well, fresh and quite the variety. We were sure to buy a couple of six packs to take back home to Boise with a us on our trip. The people of Sandpoint are lucky to have such an awesome brewery and restaurant in the middle of their town.
