Excellent BBQ, I got a bunch for some workers and shared with others and everyone was really impressed. I got there full assortment of meat options and sides sans potato salad and all of it was excellent.
I got a pound of beef brisket. I’m usually skeptical after being on a “cowboy cooking” (chuckwagon contest) over the past 18 months. I’ve tried brisket every along the South, from Arizona Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas. I was never impressed along the way and none of it lived up to what I had always been hearing about. Also, I’m a “pulled pork” fan from decades past. However, I tried the brisket (I skipped the bread that came with it) and brought it back to my place and put it on onion rolls. Umm, OMG…. I’m hooked, it was the best I have ever had. And this say’s allot, considering I went through culinary school back in ‘88 and have cooked in many venues, ranches and competitions across the Southern state’s from California to Florida. I gave them five stars, because they converted me from pork to beef brisket overnight. But I have a feeling that they ruined it for any other bbq place after here. 🤠👍🤤🤤🤤
Not bad, just not good.
Ordered brisket and pulled pork, got a 3-meat plate. Don’t know if that’s their way of up selling, but since we were charged for 3-meat we tried all 3.
Extra item was ribs. Very tender, fall off the bone tender. Brisket was a bit thick cut, completely dry and not really even warm. Pulled pork was a generous helping, cool, not even room temp.
The serving of jalapeño pinto beans were bland, having only 1 tiny bit of green in the bowl, possibly jalapeño but couldn’t prove it. The corn in the cob was dry and old. Don’t think it was even held in hot water.
5 stars? Sorry no even close. If you need BBQ and can’t make your own, I guess you could go here.
This is truly authentic Texas bbq! We had the brisket and smoked turkey and they were delicious. It's a hidden gem, off the beaten path. The atmosphere is casual and good for families with kids, like ourselves. We loved the outdoor picnic tables. We will most definitely be back!
Good, legit BBQ. Highly recommend.
