My fiance and I popped in here for lunch while house hunting. Very nice place and has a nice warm atmosphere. The server was polite and attentive. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy with smashed red potatoes and two eggs. It was very good, though the gravy was a bit thin and could have used a lot more sausage and flavor. The biscuits were delicious as they had cheese baked into them. The red potatoes were wondeful. My fiance had the Our Burger, and she upgraded to the garlic aoli fries. The burger was VERY tasty, but she said the fries were undercooked but very flavorful. Overall it was a good meal and we would return for sure. The price point for the meal was very good and what I would expect for the area. The 4 stars is mainly for the few issues with the food.
I absolutely love this place. Really cool atmosphere, you must check out the downstairs while you’re visiting. Great menu, great cocktails.
Yesterday was Not my first time at honey eatery, but possibly the best dish I have tried there. The miso salmon is absolutely divine.
The burger was really good, $19 good though? Idk... the service was very slow though. The waitress asked if we wanted one check or to split it, which turned out to mean to literally split the amount in half instead of separate bills even though we clearly ordered different food and I had no desert. So the standard option of separate checks wasn't even offered, so then she had to go back and fix that and it took even longer to get out of there.
I had lunch at Honey for the first time on a Friday with my kids and friend. We arrived at 11am and several tables were occupied but I wouldn’t classify it as busy. We waited several minutes to be greeted by a hostess and we’re seated in a booth/chairs combo table. The hostess provided kids menus and crayons, which was appreciated. The decor is wonderful, artsy and true to the name. We ordered monkey bread, a wild mushroom and potato pizza to share between adults, ice teas, and two kids menu items. Most of the guests seemed to already have their food so it was disappointing that our food took quite some time to come out. My kids finished the coloring sheets provided and were starting to sprawl on the clean, well-maintained booth seat, and then the food came. Both kids were happy with the flavor and size of their portions. My friend and I enjoyed the pizza and everyone enjoyed the monkey bread. Tea refills took a long time, as did getting the check. Our server was very nice but seemed to have too many tasks that kept her from checking in with us consistently. Overall, great atmosphere, tasty food, service and time to receive food was lacking on the day I was there: I will try it again one day.
The fried chicken was decent, the portion is bigger than I expected as there were 5 pieces I think (thigh, drum, full wing, breast x2). The breast pieces could be more moist but I finished it all somehow, and the honey bun was yummy. I wasn’t a fan of the potatoes, I think I’d prefer it more plain roasted/pan fried instead of tasting sweet. The garlic on the fries were really good though, so addictive! Our server Lance was great!
