Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese

My wife and I have been talking about going here for quite sometime. We ended up in CdA so we finally went for lunch and omfg! So eff'n bomb! We ended up ordering vegetarian sandwiches and didn't even realize there wasn't any meat. The list of awesomeness caught our eye. Next time I'll be more carnivorous. The dude, definitely a manager and possibly the owner, hooked us up with chips and dips. I was gonna pay for them but he said "I got you" and loaded us up. Where I get dog food is about a mile from Meltz so I'll be going there once a month for sure. Heck it's worth the drive in itself. I can't give this place enough stars! We need a Meltz in Spokane but then I'd probably put on 50 lbs so maybe it's a good thing it's almost an hour away. Also gotta give them a shout out for superior customer service! Everyone in there is welcoming and energetic. Smiles for miles in this place, both employees and customers. I simply can't rave about this place enough!! We'll be back many, many times and we'll be bringing people with us.
After I wrote this review I checked out the one star ratings. I can't believe how unbelievably petty people can be! I whole heartedly and with great enthusiasm disagree with absolutely every poor review this establishment received! Some people have nothing better to do with their time but complain, even at the expense of a business's reputation! The poor review that I give the gold to is the one complaining about too much cheese at a restaurant that is all about cheese! Just.....wow! I'm glad to see so many people have taken the time, as I have, to leave more legit and accurate reviews. I'm also happy to see the five star reviews incredibly outnumber the one and two star reviews. I mean, nobody nor is any business perfect. But judging by the owner's responses including leaving his personal contact information, he genuinely cares about his customers and only wants the best for them. Judging by mine and my wife's recent visit, I can first hand tell you that all of the employees at this Meltz want nothing but the best for their customers. The level of service and the general demeanor of the employees is a breath of fresh air. This was the best experience I've had at any restaurant in a long time! Again, we will be back at least on a monthly basis and I'll try to bring some friends and family when I/we go. One's life is not complete without a visit to Meltz.

After writing this previously and going back again, I went full carnivore this time like I said I would. Everything I said above remains to be true! The Cubano was epic!!

More on the expensive side! Good sandwich, and was a fan of the mac and cheese. Had a different flavor and didn't like the bread crumbs on it.

Oh my gosh. I’ve heard about this place before but I’ve never been.
Grilled cheese to me are lazy cook days so you grill up a quick grilled cheese and some condensed tomato soup for the kids and call it good. What can be so special about a grilled cheese right?!?!
Well this little hole in the wall attached to a gas station place has forever changed my perception of the potential of a grilled cheese/toasted cheese sandwich.
I got the Korean clucker and there was so much on it. It was a bit intimidating but wow every single bite was packed full of flavor. My partner got the Cuban which was absolutely mouth watering my delicious.
We also got some of the house made chips which were some of the best I’ve ever had and a side of some spicy artichoke dip.
I left feeling a little uncomfortable I was so full. I can see why everyone loves this place!

Absolutely worth every dime, it's the best I've had in years and I'm definitely going to be going back. The portions were fit for a king, love, love, love the dipping sauces. The employees were so sweet.

Absolutely fantastic food and service. Came here for lunch on a rainy, blustery day and it was perfect!

They have a large selection of options from every kind of grilled cheese variation you could imagine to soups, dips, and salads...just to name a few.

I ordered the wings twist grilled cheese and their featured soup. Both were VERY good. Even the soda fountain was unique with some really great flavors to choose from.

The service was very efficient and friendly. One of the things I like to see in a restaurant is a kitchen that you can see into. You could see the food being made from the dining area. Everything was clean and professional.

The only issue I would have is that the place is small and can get packed when busy. But that's what happens when you turn out exceptional food with exceptional service.

Overall, I really enjoyed this place. There's plenty of options to keep you from getting bored of the same old Dish. I will definitely be back.
