Sweet Lou's Restaurant & Tap House

We walked in and the first thing I said is "Oh its so comfortable in here!" Such a chill layed back place. Our drinks were great, the food was amazing, and the service was fantastic. Our server was kind and helpful. We started with queso dip and pretzel and it was huge! I don't think we had even eaten the whole thing between the three of us before our meals arrived. The queso was great, but we missed having stone ground mustard too, so just asked and they had some back in the kitchen she brought out! I got the BBQ chicken sandwich which was delicious - I think if I had any criticism, it would be to have just a touch more BBQ sauce on the chicken. One friend got the Cuban and the other just a basic cheeseburger. We all selected the fries and they were perfect. Everything was great tasting and well cooked. Plus an amazing view!! Great lunch spot!!

Sweet Lou’s Restaurant & Tap House offers great food and service. I’m a fan of rare burgers and was surprised when the Bison Burger was cooked exactly how I requested. Fries were fantastic and the fry sauce was delicious (sometimes fry sauce can taste like apples but not here). My partner had the Mac & Jacks Amber, and I had the White Stout from Kettlehouse. Both were from draft and are remarkable beverages. This is one of the few great American restaurants where you can get quality food and service at a darn good price. We will be back here ASAP!

Today’s lunch with a friend was perfect. Service from Darin M. was exceptional. He was attentive but gave us space to enjoy our lunch and chat. The steak was perfect for me and my friend’s burger was cooked exactly like she liked. Cheesecake was a great way to end. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. (The only feedback was flickering can lights in the far corner by the window.. might fix those!😊)

Use Darin as a trainer! His joy for what he does radiates && will elevate your restaurant even more than it already is. Great job to the cooks for perfectly cooked meals.

Food was excellent! Good quality, cooked like we asked. The Bison burger I had was very tender & juicy. My wife's chicken fried steak was the best she's had in a long time.
The service was friendly & quick. Everything came out right on time. We both loved the 80's Rock videos playing on one of the many big screen TVS. Especially since it matched the music playing. It wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation. There was also NFL and a college football game playing on the TVS.

We really enjoyed Sweet Lou's. Our waiter Eric was very friendly, courteous and attentive. We sat on the heated patio which has spectacular views of the lake! It was a very fun yet peaceful place and all of the staff were very friendly 😀! The food was great! I had the African Chicken Peanut soup. It had a nice spice, but not overly spicy. I also had the Brisket Tacos which were awesome. My son had a Mushroom Swiss Burger. A great experience!
