Nectar is one of the best options for fine dining and a good cocktail in Moscow. That being said, for a restaurant that costs ~$100 for two (entrees and a cocktail a piece) I think it leaves a little to be desired.

While the featured cocktail menu changes periodically, the appetizer and entree menus have remained pretty much static and a few items are pretty basic. I understand that oven fries, Mac and cheese and a burger may be real appealing to some, but if I'm going to spend $25 on a meal, it's not gonna be a hamburger and potato wedges. The last few times we've visited we have been underwhelmed by the specials or they've been sold out. Nectar has a talented kitchen staff, it would be great to see a little more variety/seasonal rotation on the menu.

That being said, the meatloaf is great. I get it every time. We miss Meatloaf Mondays!!!

Surprised I haven't already reviewed Nectar! One of my absolute favorites. Exquisite cocktails, great staff personalities, and excellent food with a variety of options for diet-restricted people. Their patio is wonderful, too.

We were looking for a quiet place where we could enjoy a nice cocktail to end the nice. We heard this place had great drinks and decided to stop by since it was close to our hotel. The staff greeted us at the door and politely seated us at the bar. There seemed to be two bartenders this Saturday night, and one greeted us (female) and started taking our orders. The other bartender, male, looked like he had been working since the morning shift... dirty shirt, ratty old sneakers, and unkept long hair. Not something I would expect from a semi-classy place like this.

I decided to order a Sazerac since she assured me that she could one. But I guess what she meant was she could teach the other bartender (male) how to make one. You could tell he was new to making this cocktail because he asked her several questions, and at one time I think he looked it up on his phone. Since this was a new cocktail for him I would have thought she would check the finished drink... but she didn't. But I appreciate that he did. If she sampled the cocktail she would had noticed it was way off and garnished with a lemon, and not an orange. Way too much absinthe, and just an unbalanced drink.

If you tell someone you can make something you better be able to deliver, and check in to see how it was instead of the shallow "How are things? Good". Especially if you're charging those kind of prices.

Next time we'll go somewhere else. The food looked good though.

Highly recommended by friends so we got a reservation. The table was small & we sat at a busy corner where I was essentially in the busy path of everyone walking by. The wall specials menu was outdated admittedly by our waiter. We ordered the Seafood Stew which was nearly sold out do they gave us the option to add additional shrimp. We agree since it was the 2nd item ordered that was nearly out & I didnt want to keep guessing. Other reviews state that they were out of many dishes as well. The food is expensive but good. Im unsure if I will return. The staff was super friendly & nice.
