I've eaten at a great many resort restaurants across the United states, and they are very often bad and overpriced, but this place is well worth it. It's obvious that the food is scratch made to order unlike most obligatory resort food establishments. Had great service and an amazing pasta, the steaks are really good too.

My sister and I took her two girls and had a great meal. Our server, Kayla was really wonderful. Tired kiddos from a day of swimming and she was so patient giving them drink choices. The food was delicious! The ahi appetizer was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I had the Tri Tip Dip with onion rings and huckleberry lemonade, sister had a blue cheese burger, both were fantastic. Nieces enjoyed “Bears on a mountain” for dessert. Pretty fun. Yum! Great spot!

We have come to accept that when the food is awesome our habit is always going to be getting a photo after we have started digging in. Noah's Canteen at the Silver Mountain Resort in Kellogg, Idaho is no exception. The great looking food met the flavorful expectation. Kat's welcoming and terrific service made the whole experience complete. We'll be back!

We stopped in for dinner and a couple drinks. The Lemon Drop was fantastic and so was my first Silver Mt old fashioned. The second seem a little watered down. We also tried the Autumn Pear martini which we did not car for. The ribeye and mashed potatoes were good, the burgers really good as well.

Located at the base of the longest gondola in North America expectations were high as we arrived for dinner. We visited 3 days before the 23/24 ski season kicked off to an almost empty bar area (we were given a choice to sit on the restaurant side). Other than a few employees talking about the upcoming season red bull TV played on a 5 minute loop on the wall and a big screen had football. I ordered the ribeye (no mention of what it came with) and my partner ordered the pulled pork tacos. I'm typically a rare steak person but a handy diagram at the table strongly urged me to order medium rare which I did. The steak came with a potato puree (I really can't call it mashed potatoes due to the texture) and "mixed vegetables" which consisted of mostly carrots and some broccoli with a great amount of garlic. I'll start with the steak, first, it was a very solid well done. No pink to be found, a solid grey. It tastes good but was unseasoned and somehow was missing any char on the outside. The steak was also served at room temperature (which was a trend with all of the food). The veggies were to be expected from previously frozen likely microwave reheated room temperature veggies. The saving grace (actually of the whole meal for me) was ample amounts of garlic on the veggies (thank you whoever's idea that was). The potato puree, my first bite my taste buds went into shock and then rebellion. "Are the potatoes, here taste" was all I could manage to my partner. She, being a mashed potato connoisseur, immediately replied she had no idea. There was something very sour and tangy that was overriding any other flavor. My guess was either Greek yogurt or too old sour cream. I asked the bartender/server and neither was on the short list ingredients so my imagination kicked in hinting at something fuzzy and much too old. The tacos.. The meat oddly had no flavor and the sauce tasted like beer and beer only. Not bad if you're a beer fan but neither of us are... The cilantro creme on top tasted like purely ground cilantro with a tiny bit of cream and something we couldn't place that made the tip of our tongues tingle and had a slight bitter spicy after taste. She took a bite, I took a bite, she sent them back to the kitchen.

Now, what was good? Welp, not good but outright amazing. First, we got the poutine to start and it exceeded expectations. If it had been a little hotter (see comment above about room temp) it would have been 10/10 but was 9/10 instead. The fries were crisp, the brown gravy was very tasty and the large cheese curds were well seasoned with a hint of spice. There was a good ratio of green onions sprinkled on the Kerry everything and tasted fantastic.

For desert we ordered the cookies and cream cake. Unfortunately they were out...

Service: the bartender/server was awesome. He was attentive and handled the issue we had with grace. I felt bad for him after we overheard him telling another employee that of the handful of tables yed had that night every one of them had problems with the kitchen.
