Trust the reviews, there's a reason it's rated 3.5 stars. I wanted to ignore it, but it stands. My husband asked to have his steak sent back to be cooked more. He prefers a medium rare, but this looked like what you buy in the grocery store. I had the Idaho Rainbow Trout ($30) and was quite excited, but it was flavorless. I salted and peppered it heavily, and borrowed my husband's horseradish sauce from his steak to give my trout some flavor. The appetizer salads reminded me of the salads I ordered in the cafeteria in high school. Especially after I had the Raspberry Chicken Salad from Toll Station (down the road) earlier for lunch. I wish it was better, sorry guys.

We had a great dinner. The four of us had shrimp skewers as the starter, a couple prime rib dinners, the prime rib dip dinner and a 16 Oz ribeye dinner.

Food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. It was $200 before tip and worth it for our occasion.

It was my first McCall visit. On a Saturday evening in mid May, we went by a couple other places closer to the lake & they were packed with wait times. There weren't many patrons here.
My burger - big & messy. The potato wedge style fries were new to me & were good. I ate about 75%. The extra stuff was some patty but mostly the bun & fixings that had fallen off with every bite.
My wife's beef filet - ok. Cooked past medium rare & tasted rather plain. I made better at home the next evening. The baked potato was huge. Thankfully it was served with butter, not those horrible margarine packets.
Will we return if we visit McCall again? Probably not. The price isn't on par with the quality. Plus we'd like to try other places.
