Kohinoor Indian Restaurant and Lounge

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the C-U! I love the people, the food, and the vibe when the music is on! Ha! :) I wish the servings were bigger but on the plus side, the food is delicious so it makes up for it. Thank you for being a great place to come in and dine at. I always have a great time when I am there alone or with company.

My family and I love this place! Very authentic and delicious Indian food. The owner and his family run everything from the kitchen to the front of house. The service is fantastic. Coming from the Chicago area and living around central Illinois for years I would say it's easily the best in central IL and would match or beat anywhere in Chicago. Pro tip: park for free in the Post Office lot after hours on east side of Kohinoor

My husband and I had lunch here today, and shared our first Indian food. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about our experience. I am vegan, and I felt like I had so many options (and without spending a lot of cash). I also asked for my dish to be moderately spicy and it was perfect! We started with the samosas and they were so good. There is a selection of sauces on the table, and we had fun trying all of the delicious flavors. The Naan is so delicious. Atmosphere and music are great, bathrooms clean, and staff was so friendly. Highly recommend.

This place was THE BEST. I had extremely low expectations going out and came out fully surprised. The staff is incredibly friendly and always making sure you are having a good time. The prices are very fair, not expensive at all. The food did not take long what so ever and was super delicious. Have caution when it comes to the spicy dishes as theyre actually pretty spicy (i got a 4). overall 10/10 would recommend
