“Fun and unusual food. The soups are filling and the dumplings perfect. Order several types of skewers and sample them. Best to eat family style, sharing dishes.”

“Ordered two sandwiches and a salad. One sandwich had very little meat or other toppings. The other sandwich had plenty of toppings and meat. Salad was a very generous portion. Bread on both sandwiches was very good. Overall the experience was pretty good, but not great. I always give every place two tries before I form my final decision. I will report back after I try Pekara again.”

“First time visiting, service was excellent. Family atmosphere, courteous staff and minimal wait on food. The Naan was fresh, warm and delicious. We tried both chicken and lamb curry, both were excellent. There are some spice options, but in general the food is not spicy and is mild enough for those without a taste for the spicy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some high quality Indian cuisine, we will be returning here soon!!”

“ALL the food was exceptional! I had the beef brisket sandwich with twice baked potatoes and broccoli. Other members of our group had burnt ends, the salmon, pulled pork, chicken etc. Everyone was satisfied and happy with their selection! A variety of BBQ sauces available too. The service was also outstanding! They do sit you down only when your whole party is there, so plan accordingly or you’ll have to wait”

“If you're looking to eat some authentic Chinese Szechuan food, this is the place to go. My experiences here are always phenomenal and there really hasn't been a dish I didn't like. There is a lot of depth to the flavors of all of the dishes and you'll definitely want to come back after your first visit.”

“My wife is "discerning" in her words (awfully selective in my words) when it comes to Thai flavors. And she has finally found the place that rivals or beats the great flavors of our favorite Thai restaurant in southwestern IL where we used to live. And that place is Sticky Rice in Champaign. Thai restaurants tend to be awfully similar in many cases, except for sauce flavors. The real headline here is that the flavor at Sticky Rice is incredibly flavorful and well, awesome. I had the Pad Wood Sen (#32 priced at $10). A very flavorful generous portion of thin bean noodles stir-fried with eggs, carrots, celery, bean sprouts, onions, and garlic in a brown sauce. In my wife's words, "A lot of places can't seem to get that brown sauce right." Sticky Rice sure does, and great ingredients. We'll be back and we hope the place remains in business for a long time.”

“One of my favorites, as far as the food goes! BUT one of the workers was eating out of one of the carry out boxes to disguise the food she was eating, from the person doing the cooking (not sure but I think he was the manager, because he did a sit down interview with an applicant while I was there) When he approached her from behind she stuck the food in the box and moved away, but I saw it because she was facing me and the cashier who warned her to be careful. The other thing I do not like is: the cashier, who handles money, is also the same person who makes the Taco Fish Sandwiches. They do wear gloves, BUT I do not like food being handled by the same person that handles dirty, germy money! On occasion I have observed that she is also one of the workers who mops the floor! Anyone who is tasked with this and handles food in any capacity should wear gloves! And wash their hands afterwards! One last comment, the Women's Bathroom has LONG needed HELP and a THROUGH CLEANING! IT IS DISGUSTING and has been for EVERY visit I have ever made there. However, I do like the food! The Cod Dinner is my favorite! Because it has to be cooked WHEN you order it! Not sitting in a basket waiting to be ordered!”

“My family and I love this place! Very authentic and delicious Indian food. The owner and his family run everything from the kitchen to the front of house. The service is fantastic. Coming from the Chicago area and living around central Illinois for years I would say it's easily the best in central IL and would match or beat anywhere in Chicago. Pro tip: park for free in the Post Office lot after hours on east side of Kohinoor”

“Food was authentic and delicious. We tried chicken and steak tacos as well as a torta. The place is on the smaller side, but the service is great and the food was incredible. Definitely worth a visit! Only suggestion I would have is to put up a sign that says, "Please seat yourself" to avoid confusion upon entering.”

“Mas from Springfield Ave is back! Their chips are still dusted with that amazing seasoning that makes them addictive, and perfectly fried. Elote on a stick instead of scraped into a cup, and lengua that is tender and delicious. Paired with a smoky salsa, the taco rivals Huaraches-- but in downtown. So glad the return is as good as i remember!”

“Very tasty smoked meat offerings. I'm especially fond of the turkey. 7 different sauces and excellent sides as well. Smallish dining area, that is very clean but mostly carry out or drive up window business. Yum!”

“Ordered a pick-up for the Mediterranean hand tossed with garlic crust, Eugene Supreme deep dish with garlic crust, and pepperoni deep dish for the kids. The order was not ready until twenty minutes after the promised ready time. So we spent twenty minutes sitting in the shop????. But...the pizzas were delicious overall. One concern on food quality---The banana peppers in the Eugene were overcooked: nearly all were dry and some were black (due to being overcooked). We had banana peppers at home, fortunately, to add to the pizza. And the kids really enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. Thank you!”

“The restaurant was extremely busy but the staff was excellent. Once we were seated, we were waited on quickly. They brought out coffee, water and juices and refilled our coffee regularly. They food was fabulous and was served in a very timely manor. We highly recommend this restaurant. The staff was friendly and handled the Mother's Day Rush with expertise and smiles. Thank You!”

“Tends to be a wait, and it's worse depending on time of day. Went last week in evening, waited five minutes just to be rudely acknowledged and have my order taken, waited another 20 minutes to get my food, and had the braindead staff calling out "Jack, Jack" even though I clearly gave the name Jacob. When I go around lunchtime the staff is slow only because they're so busy and they're really nice to you.”

“I was out with my sweetheart and we had a craving for BBQ. So we decided to stop at little porgy's driving through coming from Memphis Tennessee. The food was cooked to order hot delicious and fries were yummy. I will definitely be back sometime this summer to visit Lil Porgy's again.”
