Raven's Place

I love this place, I had my birthday party there Nov 09 and my friends and I had a ball. Good music, good food, great drinks. I highly recommend it

Very nice bartender poured great drinks, fried chicken was so so good crowd is 30 an up, it wasn't crowded which was nice went in a Friday. DJ was cool he played a variety of music he lost us a lil bit with the juke joint segment. My one complaint is it says they close at 2 a.m. they had everyone leaving at 1:19 a.m. There wasn't a last call announcement either

Bartender Theresa....superb! However, that waitress that works Mel's Kitchen needs to be fired. Her lack of manners is just beyond words. She charged my card twice and argued up and down I ordered the order twice. Needless to say I got my refund back but had to report it to my bank. SMH. Not to mention she took an order and got the money for the order and left for he night so my friend didn't eat. A few days later when my friend got his food she threw it on the table and walked off. Heffa u messed up and u taking it out on the customer?! Not ideal service for me. I'll enjoy the bar but I will never eat at the kitchen if it's on my dollar!

Raven's place has several rooms for private events of different sizes and ocassions. I attended a networking event for IT professionals and the atmosphere of the facility was perfect. They have a bar on the first floor but the upper w floors are for the events. The entire place has been gut rehabbed by professionals with an eye for quality. The staff was courteous and professional. They provided a hot, fresh buffet. There were options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The vegetarian sandwiches had a horseradish sauce that kicked up the flavor a notch and added a level of refinement to them. I was impressed with my experience here.

Pretty good bar with a decent atmosphere. The clientele definitely skew older, but not excessively so. Still a relatively "hip" vibe. We were warned about a "dress code" and them not allowing sneakers, but we had no problem.

The night we went, the DJ was great. The music might be a little louder than some might prefer, but I enjoyed it.

The drinks are small and somewhat expensive, but they pour pretty strong, so not a major complaint.

The service was a little slow, (in an empty bar upstairs) and our bartender seemed unprepared.

We enjoyed ourselves and I would return. Ultimately I'd recommend.
