Olive Garden is a friendly, reliable welcoming restaurant. They have something for everyone. The soup and salad makes a great lunch. A plus is that they remove the tails from the shrimp they serve.
Not the best experience I have ever had at an Olive Garden. My soup had an "off" taste which was confirmed by my 3 dining partners. I told the waiter who was most accomodating and replaced it with a different type of soup. I did ask him to ask the chef if they had a different batch of the original soup but he never would follow up. The manager stopped us on the way out to see how our dining experience was. When I told him what had happened, he made every excuse about the soup EXCEPT that it might really have been bad. I got the distinct impression that he did not believe us. I have had that particular soup at many different locations dozens of times and it had always been excellent. As a matter of fact, it is my favorite. I doubt that I will go back to this particular location again.
Wow I was impressed! I was never really a fan, but our dinners last night were fantastic. The dessert was to die for and the coffee service was great. Our server was very friendly and attentive. ????
This review isn’t about the food, it’s Olive Garden so of course it’s good. I give five stars to our waitress Stacey! She’s hand down the best waitress I’ve had in Chicago! Stacey is Matradee material and would bring life and an upbeat vibe to any establishment!
Decent Olive Garden. About average. Not a particularly enchanting atmosphere, but clean and organized. The staff are also "average." Some Olive Gardens have a pattern of very friendly and charismatic staff. Some Olive Gardens are beautiful, feel "new," and are sufficiently lit. The atmosphere at this location is quite dim (physically, but also therefore figuratively) in comparison. The attitude of all the staff here is, at worst, satisfactory – which is all you can really ask for at a restaurant chain. I award four stars because it is not as nice as other Olive Gardens, it is quite dim throughout the restaurant, and the staff, while polite, are not typically enthusiastic or overly welcoming. (So they lose a star because a nice restaurant should have an enchanting vibe, and other Olive Gardens provide a better experience.) There are poor/bad Olive Gardens, and this is NOT one of those. I recommend this Olive Garden. I have never had a problem and I've visited more than a handful of times.
