Ghareeb Nawaz Restaurant

(CASH ONLY) I LOOOVE this place!!! They're open until 4am 7days a week. The food is so flavorful and they serve you a in very big quantities. ONE tray depending what you order can feed a 2-3 people for the low low. Amazing!!!!! I come here all the time especially when most places are closed.

I first discovered this when i was spending a summer in Chicago with a friend of mine and we go to various eateries. He took me here and said you will not forget this place and to this date (after 17 years) the place is still the same with same value and quality of food. Although they have an extensive menu, but just stick to their Biryani. That is what they were most known for. The portion is very generous and with good chunks of meat. As I said I had it 17 years ago and been there many time since then (every time I visit Chicago) and never been disappointed.

Had lunch there about 3 years ago.Really good food-awesome quantities& very inexpensive.
When back in Chicago will definitely have Ghareeb Nawaz on my list????

I started coming to eat here about 19 years ago and even though I don’t live anywhere near the city I still take the time to drive way out my way just for the food. The prices have gone up since but it’s still reasonable and the chicken biriyani is still the same original recipe i remember. Everything I’ve tried has all been good. I seen they have added a lot more to their menu since my last visit years ago so I will definitely be going back soon to try something different. This is my go to for Indian food. I hope they keep the recipe the same for more years to come.

Incredibly cheap for the quantity and quality you get. It is not the best food you can find but given the price, it is quite decent. However, you should keep in mind that you must pay in cash and the disposable spoon does not make your life any easier.
