Good strong coffee, pan dulce (bakery) is made fresh daily, delicious with quality ingredients. Try the tamales both banana leaf and corn husk are amazing!
Had a great experience here while visiting Chicago. Such a warm and inviting atmosphere, my family and I enjoyed it. Had some abuelita and pan dulce (which was amazing)! The tacos de papa y chorizo were a hit as well. I can see myself coming back here when I visit again.
I “work from home” which means I visit a lot of coffee shops. This coffee shop has a “home like” feel with delicious coffee, food and pastries to indulge in. They have a variety of authentic Mexican foods and pastries to choose from that you can order to dine in or take out. In addition to the nice atmosphere they have great customer service. If you’re looking for a nice place eat or get some work done this is the place to go! It will most definitely become one of my regular “work from home” spots.
The tamales were delicious. I’m excited to try mot stuff— especially the drinks. The interior is absolutely beautiful and full of art. And they take Apple Pay so that was a major perk considering I often forget my wallet. Will definitely be back
What a good spot. Right next to the National Museum of Mexican Art, these folks have been in this building more than 20 years running an ice cream and bread baking business. Now they’ve remodeled the front, gotten local artists to contribute, and serve homemade food/pastries and local coffee. Try the pinwheel.
