I love taste of Lebanon and try to eat here whenever I visit Chicago. However this last visit (almost 2 weeks ago) I was slightly disappointed with the lack of flavor in my chicken schwarma:( was really looking forward to that, too. Maybe next time~
Service and prices are still wonderful as always and the baklava is simply the BEST EVER.
Probably wouldn't have found this place without the remarkable number of people raving about it on Google. So let me add my voice to the chorus. Best Lentil soup I've ever had, which doesn't mean a lot coming from me but my Lebanese-Hungarian wife agrees. Lots of vegetarian options, but there's some tasty chicken, beef, and lamb on the menu for carnivores too. Baklava was delicious and made the proper Lebanese way with pistachio. And the prices were unbelievably low. Almost everything on the menu is under $5, and peons are generous. They take cash only, so visit the ATM first.
One of the best restaurants in a neighborhood with lots of good food. Almost certainly the best bang for your buck. Across the street from a great market, too.
The Taste of Lebanon is a cash-only hidden gem restaurant. For my last visit I had a filling lamb kabob, fries and coke for a total of $8 even. This is a perfect go to after work and im glad I found it!!
So lucky to have this in Andersonville. Really good, super cheap Lebanese food. The chicken salad is huge and delicious. The lentil soup is amazing and so cheap. Bring cash and leave happy!
