The place was very warm, and most staff were welcoming. The food was pretty good and came out rather quickly for what seemed to be the brunch rush hour. I had the Wood Fired Spanish Octopus which was pretty tasty. However, our waitress is what kept this from being a 5 star rating. We were a table of 8 and most of us ordered coffee. My wife and I love a little coffee with our cream so when we asked for more than what was already at the table, rather than oblige she pointed out that we already had cream at the table, not even checking to see that it had already been mostly depleted. When we insisted she seemed a little bothered but we thought maybe it was our imagination. That is until we asked for more sugar. This time she obliged without protest but when she returned with a giant bowl of sugar packets (which seemed like an exaggerated amount), she placed it on the table just a bit too hard. Not really slamming, but borderline. This was her attitude for the rest of our time there. Like she couldn't be bothered. To the point where we were already lamenting how she wasn't going to get that big of a tip from us until we got the bill and saw the tip was included. When we asked her if she could split the bill, she said she COULD but was too busy to do so. By then the place had started to empty some so we concluded she just didn't care since tip was included in the bill and there really was no consequence to her attitude. Shame.
Overall amazing experience. Great selection of drinks (beer, cider, cocktails, and nonalcoholic), food, and games. We played bags in the back, which made for a super relaxing lunch break. Bartender/server was super friendly and knowledgeable. Glad to find a wonderful place right in the neighborhood.
Great beer and food! Wonderful service! Be aware that it is a small area with limited seating so get here early.
Love the fact you can get small glasses of the beers, makes it fun and affordable to try before committing to a full glass. Highly recommend the mac and cheese, the best I've ever had! The specials are delicious and the staff was nice and friendly, but were a little slow. The deserts are yummy but very big, perfect for sharing! I suggest the apple cobbler.
Came for a friend's birthday and had a great time! It has a lot of space and even an area to play bags! I didn't have a chance to try any food, but it looked amazing (when I peaked at other tables) and their drinks were really good and reasonably priced. I didn't catch our waiter's name (I arrived later), but he was good, personable, and knew the menu really well. Would definitely recommend stopping by!
