Fountainhead

Went here on a cold Chicago winter evening and the atmosphere was very cozy. Drink selection is plentiful and the food was GREAT! We had the cheese curds to start and would for sure have them again. We ordered the veg & meat pies and they were delicious - the pie crust was perfectly seasoned and the fillings were well balanced and served with a great sauce on the side. I also appreciate how the staff explained various components of the dishes. Can't wait to come back here in the summer for a rooftop dining experience!

The first time I went a couple of years ago, everything was really great. Since then, it hasn't been as good (four or five visits). The first seems like a fluke. The beer list is still really great, but the food is not.

Club member will be my next goal for this place. I had a great time there. Not just a so much whiskey that I can learn but food was a culinary delight, in taste and presentation!!!! I love meats and cheese board. Mussels roasted garlic with white wine also top of the line. Service was warm and welcome too.

Great atmosphere, excellent beer and whiskey selection. Gourmet bar food and Jennifer was extremely warm and welcoming. Will definitely come back!!!

Cozy atmosphere in winter. Lots of beers to choose from, special whiskeys and cocktails. Menu is sparse, but has savory plates for one or all to share. Meat lovers will be happy with the burger or meat pie, veggie lovers will like the avocado toast, potato gnocchi, Mac and cheese or veggie pie. Great place for a date or group of friends.
