Loved the whole experience here. My wife and I came here right after getting married with our families to have a "reception dinner" and got the fireplace section of the beer garden. The space was great for our group. We ordered the whole alligator and everyone loved it! Some people even enjoyed the sides more than the alligator itself. The jambalaya and Mac n cheese were the best I've ever had. Drink selection was awesome and they were all very well made. Will be returning with another group to make some more great memories! (Just for anyone questioning it, yes that ring pop in the picture was my wedding band for the day ????)
The service was excellent! Our waitress on Sun. 2/10/19 afternoon was very attentive and very pleasant. I ordered the kale salad with chicken thighs added and it was very good! I didn't give them 5 stars because the tables could be a tad bit cleaner. One empty table sat uncleaned for the length of our visit and it wasn't crowded.
I still say it's definitely worth a visit!
Very cool place. The decor is very fitting and interesting. The food is good. We tried the ribs, bison burger, and antelope cheese steak. Prepare to be a little adventurous, but nothing we had was too out there. Bison burger tasted like a normal burger. The ribs were good, a bit spicy. The antelope cheese steak was the most adventurous we were willing to go, but I couldn't really taste a huge difference in the meat. It was tasty. The 5 cheese Mac you could probably pass on, it was nothing special. We had the s'more dessert and everyone else didn't like the texture, but I thought it was pretty good. The only thing I didn't like was how pushy they were trying to clean up our plates. Chill out I'm eating fries, guys. There were a couple full animals meals going on while we were there and that's what I'm most excited to try. I'll be back.
The food overall is very good. A few misses here and there, but overall some really amazing stuff. I would recommend the boar hash or spicy chicken biscuit sandwich.
I wish I hadn't eaten before visiting. We had drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. There was a private party in the den space with fireplace, which was a bummer for us because we were hoping to sip bourbon by the fire in the company of exotic taxidermy. Highly recommend.
