Nita's Gumbo

Food is pretty good. I just wish it was a sit down, dine-in restaurant. The website doesn't give the correct business days & hours. (Lazy)
The big chunks of chicken & vegetables in the gumbo actually take away from my enjoyment of the dish. It seems lazy. I've eaten all over New Orleans and I've never had big hard chunks of bell pepper, big chunks of celery, & whole okra in my gumbo. I'm just saying...

This is best by far to come to chicago! Well needed tired of the same ole food ! That signature bowl is fire !

Just have to be patient when ordering, especially ordering online - you're better off just come in and order at the window. It is a carry-out only place.

I'm adding photos so you can see the menu and prices. Although their prices have increased by about $0.50 for each items.
They don't do full orders anymore. Which is fine by me because their half orders are plenty.

Really good. The prices went up but it's still worth it to me. The flavor is so good. And I absolutely love the cornbread, delicious. I've had the gumbo which comes with the rice separate and you have to mix it together. The wings come with rice with I think some of the gumbo roux on top.
