Fontano's Sub

Super nice owners! I mean they definitely make you feel at home. Great for a slice of pizza or deli sandwich. The combo for the deli sandwich is a deal. It includes a sandwich, chips, a pop, a cookie and a little ma salad. I had gone to the one by UIC while i went to school there. Same family owned business. The food is fresh and so is the hospitality.

Definitely recommend us supporting another elevated mom and pop shop!

It was very good food. Large portions for a very fair price in the city. I'll definitely go back, the subs are great and I thought the pizza was really good. Nice quiet ambiance to enjoy a quick meal.

A good place with a nice selection of options. I usually go for the pizza, but their salads and pasta bowls are good too. For deep dish pizza, don't go before noon. The selection is small to none. However, the selection is very good after noon even at 2pm. I have not had their subs, but will grab one eventually.

gave this shop five stars because I have faith. I’ve read the reviews and walked past the Michigan ave shop last night. The sign had a review that said something like “Work’s best sandwich.” Or maybe Chicago’s. (My definition of a great sandwich is one where every bite is the same.) Anyway, I’m writing this because I see that the manager responds to reviews. I’ll be back next week and I’d like a recommendation on which sub to order. I’m open to anything but Italian beef (love them but I’ve had too many lately). I’ll order what you recommend. If you have two choices my wife will order the other. Then we will follow up with another review.

Quality over quantity? Nope this place has both, for the amount you pay, you get a quality sub and worth the price, especially if your going in for lunch.

This place offers many options on cold, and warm subs it's hard to pick out which one you want to try. They also offer pizza and other items on the menu.

Definitely a nice place to swing by for lunch.
