Sticky Rice

One of our favourite Thai restaurants. I've never had a dish that wasn't great. The staff there is friendly, and the place is cozy (seats about 20-25?) but not overly loud, as some smaller places can be.
Their namesake dessert is the perfect finish to a delicious meal.

My favorite Thai food in the city. I recommend ordering Northern dishes, which you can't get at many Thai restaurants (get your Pad Thai somewhere else!) My go-to is Gang Hung Lay, stewed pork in a sauce of tamarind, garlic, ginger and lemongrass. Eat the sticky rice with your fingers!

Table service was a bit slower than anticipated given there was only one other party of dinning when we visited. My expectations were a bowl of "warm fluffy sticky rice" to accompany my meal as suggested by the namesake. To my disappointment we were served 'Plain Jane' mediocre steamed rice. Also typically when we order steamed Chinese broccoli with mushroom sauce it is complemented with roasted garlic. The Pad Thai noodles were overworked. Shitake mushrooms, bell peppers and shrimp were just above average. My curiosity for Sticky Rice has been fulfilled.
