The food is ok, coffee not tasty at all. I had salmon croquettes, eggs, toast and grits. A good place for a quick meal.
I ordered the fried catfish...it was ok, with a slight kick to it. If I order it again, I'd definitely ask for it to be fried hard. The mac n cheese is pretty good, but my side portion was a bit on the flimsy side. There DEFINITELY should have been more Mac n cheese in my container. The owner is REALLY NICE.and I LOVE good customer service. I'll go back and try something different.
The food here is nothing short of excellent. To top it off the decor and seating is very cozy! The staff was attentive and the manager asked my party and I twice were we comfortable with the temperature after over hearing me say It was a bit chilly. I recommend you try the Turkey Lasagna and Mac &Cheese trust me you will love it!
I gave it 4 stars because service needs to be improved and organized. I didn’t like the wait for the food and the waitress weren’t attentive. I hope when I come back service will improved. However, the food was magnificent and well seasoned. The manager was polite enough to come and explain the food wait. I waited 45 minutes to an hour due to the food being prepared fresh. But all in all the experience was good.
I have great hope and expectations for this small, cozy restaurant. I'm excited to see this place located on the south side. We pretty much completed everything on our plate. The service was not as attentive as I liked, but I think the longer they are in business the better they will become in this area. Definitely support this establishment...I had a breakfast bowl with turkey sausage and my sister has the salmon croquettes with rice and French toast. Very nice presentation as you can see and really good flavors. I definitely plan on going back!
